This role consists of welding/fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing metal products and equipment to drawings and instruction provided. An extremely broad range of work is on offer.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Site Supervisor to lead from the front, carry out site measures and manage installations on sites throughout Auckland and New Zealand. As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all projects within your remit, while promoting a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement. You’ll work in a leadership capacity, and sometimes get on the tools, bringing solid experience from the marine, engineering, or food maintenance sectors. This is a crucial role within our organisation, directly influencing the successful delivery of client projects and the performance of our onsite teams.

This is a full-time position based at our facility in Glendene, Auckland and around various client sites.

What you'll be doing

• Manage and oversee all installation activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of skilled tradespeople, technicians and support staff

• Implement and monitor robust health, safety and environmental management systems to protect the wellbeing of our employees and the local community

• Liaise with clients, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project requirements and expectations

• Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness across all site operations

• Manage inventory, logistics and resource planning to optimise material and equipment utilisation

• Provide regular progress reporting and data analysis to support informed decision-making at the executive level.

What we're looking for

• Significant experience (8+ years) in a site supervisor or similar team leader role within the marine or food maintenance sectors

• An engineering fabrication qualification or equivalent experience

• Proven track record of delivering complex fabrication or marine projects on time and to budget

• Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and implement detailed plans, monitor progress and troubleshoot issues

• Strong people management capabilities, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop high-performing teams

• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, suppliers and all levels of the organisation

• Comprehensive understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and best practices relevant to the engineering and construction industries.
